Meg is rather tiny, standing at around 5'2 in height, she's always one of the shortest people in any group, though she doesn't really mind it, and has grown comfortable in her skin over the years. This being the case, she actually has a healthy build, instead of being one of those super skinny teenagers who have felt pressured into being a certain size. Meg has curves and parts of her body that are far from perfect. She is not overweight, but she's not the kind of girl to shy away from a chocolate bar or ten. She has naturally pale skin, though she tans lightly during the summer if the weather is kind enough.
Meg has a very pretty face, wide and round in shape, it is home to the most beautiful, delicate features. She has a straight, rounded nose, with delicately flared nostrils, and wide lips, which part into a white smile that seems to take over her whole face. Her eyes are probably her most notable feature, huge and round, they are a dazzling ice blue hue, always twinkling with an innocent air that makes her look young and vibrant. Her brows are thin and arched gently, in a shade of pale brown, a little lighter than her hair. Meg's hair falls a few inches past her shoulders, and is made up of gentle waves of warm chocolate. She likes to style it in different ways, though it is always wavy and natural looking.

- Intelligent - Meg is very smart and a fast learner, so she's never gonna be the one standing at the back wondering what's going on. She has book smarts, more than street smarts (unfortunately, at times), but she's clever enough to know how to take care of herself in most situations and has the intelligence to go very far in life.
- Kind - She is always willing to go out of her way to help others. She can be a bit of a people-pleaser at times, though as she gets older she's learning to say no every now and then. But Meg is overly caring sometimes and hates to think of others suffering if she can do something to help them.
- Funny - She can have quite a witty tongue when she wants, and isn't a stranger to cracking a joke or slipping one-liners into conversations to leave people with their mouths hanging open. She usually shocks people with this trait, since they think she's too sweet to come out with some of the things she does. But she is very entertaining when she wants to be.
- Diplomatic - If you ever need someone to smooth over a sticky situation, Meg will most likely be a good person to go to. She is great at smooth talking her way out of things, and is lovely enough to make people believe most things she says, since she looks so sweet and innocent, so she's very adept at keeping things harmonious, even when you could cut the tension with a knife.
- Wise - Maybe you could link this with intelligence, but Meg's wisdom is on a slightly different level. She is very understanding of the world, and has a strong grasp on how best to live to remain happy and keep positive influences around you at all times. She sees the world for what it is, and therefore can shape her own with eyes wide open. She is pretty good at giving advice on this sort of thing, and people often wonder why she's so content all of the time, even when things are seemingly falling apart around her.

- Dreamer - Meg is definitely indulgent when it comes to being unrealistic. As clever and wise as she is, she has a distinct knack for disappearing into dream land and sweeping problems under the carpet if she doesn't want to deal with them. In a town like Mystic Falls, with all of it's supernatural influences, looking at things through rose-tinted spectacles isn't going to do her any favours, as she would likely look at vampires as fascinating and sexy, rather than terrifying and monstrous.
- Stubborn - Meg will not budge once she has made her mind up on something. She won't be told what to do, and she won't be hurried or pushed around in any way. She takes a while to make her mind up, but once she has, there's no stopping her. She is also stubborn if she's had an argument with someone, and she will refuse to speak to them until they have apologized to her.
- Manipulative - Yes, she's sweet, and yes, she's kind and caring, but she is also great at wrapping people around her little finger with those same traits. She can charm te birds out of the trees when she wants to, and people don't often realize hat she's got them under her thumb until it's been happening for that long that it's too late for them to get out of it.
- Flirtatious - Without really realizing that she's doing it, Meg is a flirt. And it doesn't even matter if you're male, female, human, alien, or a table lamp, she is just naturally flirtatious with the way she moves and talks, and Meg often doesn't realize that she's doing it until it's pointed out to her. Her friends often say she flirts with brick walls, but she tries to brush it off as she doesn't see it herself. Being friendly and conscious of your appearance is far from flirting, but sometimes she does switch it on on purpose if she takes a particular fancy to a guy.
- Sarcastic - The same wit that has people doubled over with laughter can also cut them to pieces. If you cross Meg - and it takes a lot do to - she can be very cutting and harsh, and won't hesitate to unleash a verbal beating your way. This presents itself in every day life as sarcasm, which she doesn't use too much, just every now and then throughout the day, and never in a mean way until you push her too far.

As you can probably tell from some of her traits above, Meg is a lovely girl. She's friendly and quiet, and very respectable. She's not the kind of girl to end up in trouble, or do anything that could be classed as 'wrong', or frowned upon by society or the law. She is a little bit scared of breaking rules, truth be told, so she's well-behaved, and always has been, really. This doesn't make her boring or uninteresting, though, she can be the life and soul of the party when she's around her friends and family, and is very funny and witty in general. She just likes to live her life as straightforward and honestly as possible.
She is a good friend, and very caring and loving. Her family mean everything to her, and the thought of not having them around fills her with horror. She is very much a people person, and doesn't like being alone for too long. She likes to have company in most of the things she does, even though she can be awkward with new people. She was unbearably shy as a young child, and is still working on getting rid of that to this day, so talking to new people can be a bit daunting for her. Once you break the ice with her though, she is very fun and sweet, and if she clicks with you well enough, her witty, sarcastic humour will come out very quickly.
Meg does have her bad points, she is indecisive, which is one of her worst traits, since it drives her friends and family crazy waiting hours for her to choose which meat she wants on her dinner. She just likes to make sure that she makes the right choice, and that whatever she decides, nobody is going to be hurt by it. Another major influence in her life is the fact that she is a people pleaser. She can't bear the thought of letting someone down, or hurting someone, as the prospect of losing them in her life is one of the worst things she could imagine. This can make people think she's being fake sometimes, but that's not the case, she just cares too much, and tries to make everyone happy, at the detriment of her own personal happiness.

Born in the small town of Mystic Falls, Virginia, Margaret Isabelle Bellamy was the second child of Grace and Thomas. She was a good baby, never screaming in the middle of the night or refusing to eat. She picked things up quickly, and always had a smile and a laugh for anyone who looked her way. Her parents were thrilled with her, so much so that they decided to have another child while Meg was still only a baby, herself. Now the middle child, she defied all myths about the middle child being the naughty one, and continued to be quiet and good.
She was unbearably shy as a toddler, and wouldn't speak to anyone outside of her family, which worried her parents, but they allowed her to be herself, so long as she was happy. Which she was. She was very content to do her own thing, and came out of her shell in the comfort of her own home, playing and singing and dancing without a care in the world. She was intelligent from the word go, and absorbed books like a sponge, eager to learn everything her parents threw at her. When she reached school age, her teachers had nothing but praise for her, and she even managed to make a few friends.
Her shyness stayed with her until she was well in to her teens, and Meg hated the fact that she felt like she would be sick if she had to speak to anyone she didn't know. It was a burden and prevented her from being as free as she should be. She threw herself into her studies, and recently graduated from high school with top grades, getting a part-time job at the Mystic Grill, and enrolling in college to study the skies in a bid to make her dream of being an Astronomer become a reality. The only things that stand in her way are her lingering shyness, and the fact that in a town like Mystic Falls, a person would be wise to look over their shoulder at every opportunity, for you never know what strange things might happen. And Meg very much believes in strange things....
